When life gets real…..
Just as Tony Without Teeth is safely home, recovering beautifully and in fine spirits, I’ve had a call to say my Mum has been taken into hospital and isn’t too well at all…… As she is the only carer for my step father , Jim, who has alzheimers and is 86 years old, she’s begged to be allowed to stay home for the weekend to be with him, before her “big” hospital tests on Tuesday….
Luckily for my Mum, my two sisters are UK based: one only about 40 miles away and one, a few hours away. Steph, baby sis and little angel, has been there throughout and Max, our middle sister and gentle soul, was travelling up last night to spend the weekend helping Mum. I’m counting the hours till Tuesday and getting results which will, we all pray, not be what we’ve been told it may be but will lead mum to a healing path which will make her feel a whole lot better, quickly.
Mum is adamant I shouldn’t fly back to UK just yet but I’ve a seat on Wednesday flight, just in case and a seat on the following Sundays flight in mind, whatever happens…..
