Tired breaths and teddy bears
There is always something magical in the air when children are around. The way the under 6’s see the world, is wonderful. Watching them marvelling at the swimming pools as they arrive at their chosen villas or when they see the animals in Paphos Zoo, is great!
We love the fact too, that they bring their, ‘furry friends’ with them: little, much loved ‘creatures’, many of whom have been loved so much they are held together by that love and a few stray threads – but some, like the teddy below, who are still robust enough to hide in the covers of the bed when his ‘person’ is packed off to the airport – but his den is discovered by the housekeeping team!
Today, we were preparing to reunite Amelia, who has just left the gorgeous Stavroulla villa in Peyia, with her much loved teddy. Ben, aged 3, and the eldest son of one of our favourite villa owners, Jo, called into the office just as Emma was about to ‘pack’ the teddy. Ben was very upset and offered to give teddy a home, thinking we were ‘wrapping him up ‘ to throw him away. We had to explain that Amelia was waiting for him as was the postman.
Ben lost interest quickly, telling his mum that he had ‘tired breaths’ – which she tells us is his way of saying he is yawning…………..aaah!
Well, Ben is on his way to sleep for a while, teddy will soon be winging his way back to Amelia and we’re on our way to take more holiday booking enquiries. So if you and your furry friend would like to come to the winter sunshine here in Cyprus, email to us on firstname.lastname@example.org . We’ve some beautiful villas where you and your friends and family, can snuggle up and sleep those ‘tired breaths’ away!
