The Whirling Rainbow over Peyia

We’ve just seen the most wonderful site over Peyia: a perfect rainbow around the sun which seemed to be hovering over the village of Peyia, surrounded by light, fluffy cloud.

So interested in this unique occurrence, I’ve looked it up and found that its known as The Whirling Rainbow and is exceptionally rare but, according to Ancient Americans and many indian tribes, is a happening of great significance. The ‘writings’ say that : “When the earth is ravaged and animals are dying, a new tribe of people shall come unto the earth from many colours , classes and creeds  and, who by their actions and deeds, shall make the earth green again. They will be known as the Warriors of the Rainbow”. Quite beautiful!

There were a few other interpretations but the essence of each was we’re at a time of great, positive change, new beginnings and new life with people being kinder and more tolerant towards each other and their home, the Earth. Its a great thought!

Perhaps this phenomena happened over Cyprus because of the essence of the kindness of the elder families here and their tolerance towards the many different race who now live here. We’re all learning to accept and live with one another – though its still an interesting time! Its all about life, isn’t it?
