The weekend so far!

What a wonderful 24 hours! The holiday guests are happy, particularly in the lovely Villa Aarabella in Coral Bay and in Stavroulla and Kastelloriso in Peyia: the sun is in the heavens; the villages are ‘dressed’ for the forthcoming Easter celebrations – AND everyone is smiling! Bliss!

Tony and I had to go to Droushia village at teatime yesterday to see a potential new holiday villa so, on the way back, we called into Kathikas village and decided to eat in Imogens. This gorgeous family owned taverna is tucked away in an alleyway off the main street and has eating al fresco or indoors. We hadn’t eaten indoors- and what a FAB place the indoor room is! Painted in gorgeous rich Mediterranean colours, huge open fireplace and walls covered in a mix of family photos and pretty pictures! Add Apostelos, the very handsome and charming owner and its a piece of heaven on earth – but we had to leave early so Tony could get back to The Mill for the Friday night Quiz with The Great Raymondodoulou!

Today, we’ve been to Latchi, where the ‘Festival of the Fishes’ is taking place. Fresh fish, bread and beers were free to anyone who cared to go and celebrate this lovely harbour town. The waterside restaurants were heaving; Cypriot music with a great singer, rang out along the promenade and the sun shone! Just wonderful  – and happening every year too so book early!

Course, we ‘had to get back early’ coz Tony and The Great Raymondodoulou, were ‘needed ‘ in The Mill in Peyia, to discuss WHY they didn’t perform well in last nights quiz…………

Still, been a lovely 24 hours: I’m happy to be home now and to be answering enquiries for holidays both for Easter and for the summer ahead. Go on: just email and you’re almost here! enquiries@cyprusvillas.uk.com
