The soon to be birthday boy

Tony is 5* on Monday ( and no, thats not 5 Star- though of course he is to me)…Ive just been out shopping for his card and its so difficult to choose. The card shop in Peyia is wonderful. Dylan, who owns Partymania in Peyia, was helpfully trying to find me a “I love you husband even though you are a totally middle aged grumpy old G** card” – and they’d run out. Apparently, there are a lot of them about : men like that, not cards.

So we tried for , “So you’ll never understand me but I’ve got to be honest, I’ll never understand me either, so why try, husband” – but none of those either. We had trouble recently finding a “Congratulations on your Non Wedding Day to a lovely couple who are already married and didn’t need to bother to even think about doing this” card – but alas, struck out again.

Methinks I’ll sit back, pour a huge GnT and begin to design a more realistic range of cards, to be sent by hormonal middle aged women to those they love and care about – with special attention paid to the REALLY difficult moments for these women when they want to strike out not cuddle in, their loved ones……………am sure there is a market for such work out there!
