The Joy of Socks!

I must be mad!

Or old!

Or British!

Or all of the above BUT I just love the fact that it’s now Winter here in Cyprus and instead of the warm, sunny early year days we’ve had , we’ve got storms, rain and it’s COLD!

I’m a jumpers and jeans girl at heart. Basically, I feel the need to be covered up – probably due to being blessed with a generous, ”family bottom” and ”washer woman bingo wings”! Don’t get me wrong, I love the sun and will tan with the best of them but being clothed makes me feel safe – and less self conscious.

I’ve also got a thing about socks! Not with sandals , no sirree! But there is nothing more cozy than a comfy pair of snuggly socks, particularly if they are animal shaped or featured and thick enough to wander around in, without having to wear slippers or shoes!

Our friends think it’s crazy to crave the cold but for a few weeks every year, it’s just wonderful! Selfishly, I’m then very glad of warm Springtime leading to VERY HOT summer and onto just gorgeously hot, Autumn and early Winter.

Today, I’m content in my clothes -though I’m continuing to ”shake the custard” and ”pushing up the Port bottles”, to try to tame the bingo wings, ready for 2021 heat!
