The day after the day before
Well, its all over for another year! Where did it go? A great deal of the food and drinkies are still sitting heavily on my hips and the tree is still standing but other than that, Christmas has passed,
Here on our lovely island, its passed in a haze of sunshine, which is warming up every day. The pre Christmas rains have stopped for a while and I’ve been able to take up my seat on the Thinking Step at the front of our home and contemplate the universe.Molly and Charly in attendance as per usual!
The 25th was eventful here if nothing else: Jim, my step father had a terrible fall in the early hours and was very shaken up. My Mum was terrified but did a superb job of temporary “stitching” till we found a nurse. By mid afternoon, they both felt well enough to join us for lunch and by mid evening, all the problems of the day were forgotten, til Jake accidentally bit Molly and Mum and I had to resort to basic nursing once again…….Still, all here to tell the tale – and we had a great day thanks to Tonys cooking and Sue, Rays and Margarets good spirits! (Tony is already planning next year to be overseas- I keep telling him we are overseas but he is a happy little planner!!)
Back to normal today with arrivals and washing machines being delivered to the gorgeous new apartments we’ve got for 09 season. The village of Peyia is buzzing with holiday makers and they look very sunkissed and rested too. Coral Bay coastline is stunning: deep colours in the sea and even a few breakers. The sky is very clear till around 3pm then the colours of the sleepy part of the day sneak in and the sun begins to rest – wonderful time to sit and daydream………
except we’ve an arrival in an hour so I;d best find my face, which I packed away Christmas Eve and haven’t aired out since then!!
