Sheila gets my vote!
Last night, Nick and Jenny, owners of the beautiful villa Stavroulla in Peyia, took Marie and I to the Japanese restaurant in Coral Bay. It was such good fun, I wish I’d been a hundred times before and I’ll definitely go back.
One of the best things was spending time with Jennys Mum, Sheila, who is totally wonderful, (like her daughter). When the chef came to start his “mini show” at our table, he asked Sheila her age and she proudly said, “88”. He swallowed hard then promised to bounce his fresh egg 88 times on the sharp knife without breaking it – and he did.
Sheila was laughing and whispered to me, “I bet he wished I’d said I was 20!” as he counted in sets of 10!
Then, cooking a very large omelette which was cut into tiny pieces and thrown to us to catch in our open mouths, only Sheila succeeded in the task! She is lovely and such good fun.
Anyone who wants a really good fun night out with great fun and (loud) chefs who entertain, should try this restaurant in Coral Bay. Its definitely one to go back to!
Thank you Nick and Jenny – it was a great night x
