Remembering and being thankful

As the sound of the hymns being sung today, filled the air around the village of Peyia, there was an overwhelming feeling of peace of hope.

The peace came from memories of walking beside my Nanna, to Hebburn Memorial, to lay poppies for family who’d walked the road before us  and the hope , from believing , ‘thoughts are living things’ – that from the outpouring of song and love from those gathered in the centre of the village today, to those around the World who are remembering and honouring their families, so much love, so many tears and so much togetherness MUST make a difference somewhere, on some vibration or some heavenly level.

The angels walk amongst us – lets hope they have been touched by the thanks of those left behind to walk this earthly path. We don’t reach out enough but the energies today are wonderful!

Am very proud to be my grandparents, granddaughter and just hope I can muster up enough courage to find a way to leave a legacy, however miniscule, that will give our descendents a ‘song in their heart’ as was given to me by a very brave, normal and wonderful  Geordie couple who literally fought through life to make life better for us, than it was for them.
