Rain, snow, hail or blow….

Its a very stormy, wet day here in Peyia.
The heavens opened last night, bringing huge thunder and lightning storms which were magnificent to watch – as long as you were safely in your own home, snuggled up!

This morning, many of the villa guests have rung to say their garden furniture is in the pool – or next door! We’ve had fun putting things back to where they belong and trying to dry everything out.

I’ve been asked when I think the rains will pass and I’m telling everyone, approx 1.56 pm today, which seems to placate them as they are taking my precision as being something from “someone in the know!” In truth, I think the rain is in for the day and we locals are delighted – but I can understand why the holiday makers aren’t! Course they could always use today to go to the markets or visit one of our many monasteries rather than sitting hopefully in bikinis waiting for the sun to come back!
