Officially the time of hope and sunshine!
As the Easter weekend is behind us and the days of ‘official springtime’ begin in earnest, the area of Peyia, which includes Coral Bay and St Georges area, is blossoming with colour and life.
The walk along the rugged coastline from Coral Bay to Sea Caves, is carpeted with beautiful , brave wild flowers, who seem to ‘smile’ up at the many feet trampling them and spring back to full bloom when ‘let free’. The colours are gorgeous: lilacs and lemons, sea greens and white, it feels like a ‘gift’ from the ground and is so worthy of stopping and admiring.
Birds are back and in full song: in fact, as we walked yesterday, I’m sure two of the Kingfishers were ‘playing tag’ with each other and challenging each other to fly as close as they could to us without annoying the dogs too much! Barney T Rubble , our puppy , was fascinated but Molly, aged 11, has seen it all before!
Locals were sat on the rocks, overlooking the coves and seemed lost in thought: the sheer beauty of this natural area, is enough to really make you believe that there is every reason to be hopeful and positive: life is for living – and for great holidays too!
My hope for anyone planning a holiday, is that they think about coming to Cyprus: its the most lovely country, whose very earth feels like a ‘tapestry ‘ of stories and whose heart is huge. We’ve something for everyone here: every age; every preference from water sports to nature walks; from painting to cookery classes- or just good old fashioned and much needed, relaxation.
I hope to hear from you: email to me on enquiries@cyprusvillas.uk.com and I’ll share more of the beauty of Cyprus with you!
