Market research…

Sometimes I despair of my job: take today, its a stunningly beautiful, hot Spring day. The flowers are in bloom, the sky is clear and the sea looks so inviting – and I’ve HAD to spend the day , firstly walking along the harbour, watching the boats bobbing gently on the water; calling into Hobo café for a coffee and moment to people watch…………then Tony FORCED me to go to the old market in Paphos, where we strolled through the almost empty streets, taking in the many colours and textures of the wares being sold: from fresh succulent vegetables to the latest sparkling pashminas to gorgeous leather bags……………… We had another coffee in a street café, from where we could see the sea, through the blossom on the trees…………… We observed the buildings in the centre of the town, which collectively look like a ‘set’ for a Sophia Lauren movie………… it was SUCH a task! LOL!

Anyway, now I can enthuse again to our happy villa holiday guests, about the delights of this wonderful area. I can tell them how the choice from harbour to market shopping, people watching to street café culture, is all on the doorstep of the many holiday rental villas we have. In fact, I could wax lyrical all day about the beauty of the Paphos region but I’ll have to go: we’re having another coffee now with friends, in The Mill Wine Bar in Peyia village…………… its a tough life but somebody has to do it!
