magical mystery tour!
We went out with friends last night to Paphos, for an Indian meal. Actually, we almost drove to India to get this meal! The restaurant we know and love for Indian food, Poppadums, in Kissonerga, is closed for Winter – so we ventured to Paphos to Koh-I-Nor, owned by the same people who own Poppadums and just as lovely.
Unfortunately for us, the whole of the harbour road in Paphos is being pedestrianised /upgraded, so there were a few very Cypriot diversions, up the backstreets, down Bar Street and around the blocks – then back around them for good measure.
Tony was driving, assisted by my (terrible) sense of direction and that of friends, who’ve just moved to their villa in Coral Bay but “know” Paphos very well and were able to tell Tony where he was going wrong.
Sadly, none of us were able to tell Tony where he was going RIGHT – so it took us an awfully long time to arrive at the restaurant.
The food was totally gorgeous and we had a good giggle, so all was well in the end.
Tonight, we’re staying close to home: very! I’m staying in with the animal family and Tony has gone to watch Peyia playing football at home against a team our friend George describes as, “terrible”!. Lets hope Peyia win!
