Magic in the air in Peyia
The village of Peyia, Cyprus is now alight with the Christmas decorations. The centre of the village looks totally wonderful: its like a childrens paradise for grown ups. I’ve just driven up the hill and had to stop to take in the beauty of the lights: the palm trees have lights wrapped around them; the nativity scene is lit up and taking pride of place in the municipal garden entrance and all of the lampposts up the hill are wearing their own special light display: its really lovely.
We got many arrivals at the weekend and I’m excited about showing them the village at night: there are tavernas on the hill opposite where the Christmas display is, so the guests will be able to eat well and look out of the window at the village in its festive splendour.
The village feels like “Christmas Eve” – full of wonder, excitement and promise and I’m so happy to be here at this time.
Come and see for yourself. Its worth it!
