living in the moment
After the hurry and hustle of the weekend, checking out some lovely people who’d enjoyed the beautiful villas Melanie and Enjoyy – then checking in more lucky people to special villas such as Stavroulla, Enjoyy and Melanie (changeover day) plus the lovely apartment ISIS, I was a little tired today…………but driving into Coral Bay, on my way to check on the sleepy family I’d met in the early hours of the morning when they arrived, I suddenly got a strong feeling of peace and contentment that, the years of work Tony and I have put into this business, have brought us into contact with so many people – and how lucky we are to live and work here.
Minutes later, met with an enthusiastic James, aged 5 , who was desperate to know if I’d brought octopus and prawns with me to the welcome meeting , (his parents told me he loves sea food and they’d promised him Cyprus was a great place to eat some), I felt my heart fill with happiness that I can work on this island, meeting people from all over the place and playing a tiny part in facilitating them having a good holiday.
Its a great feeling – even when it gets tough, which it often does. People are many different shades of colour, emotionally – and holidays bring out the best and the worst. I know my team and I ‘come with the ticket’ but its a good part to play!
