Life’s a beach!

Doesn’t matter how cold it is, how wet it is or where it is, children love the beach! I remember as a little girl, being taken to South Shields beach , by my Nanna, where my sister and I would run around like idiots, building sand castles and plodging in the cold north sea. We even got Nanna to dip her 30 denier American tan covered feet into the waters now and again!

So, one of the great things about Cyprus , is that you are never far away from a beach and the lovely warm Mediterranean waters. I’m always asked, “how far is the nearest beach’ when people check to book a holiday villa in Peyia and Coral Bay. The answer is so easy – either, “you are 3 mins from the nearest beach’ or maximum, 10 mins from the nearest beaches.

Coral Bay has a choice of 4 beaches: from the villas close to the Aquasol Watersports beach, to those around the Coral Bay strip, where 3 beaches nestle at the bottom of the hill, the holiday villas are close. With Peyia only 1,5kms away, its quick and easy to bring your family to the water – where you can relax and watch them play!

Of course, we’ve also got the coastline and rocky crags of Sea Caves and the lovely quiet beaches of St Georges Harbour or Lara Bay. Add the long stretch of underused sandy beach leading up the Akamas Peninsular and you are spoilt for choice as to where to build your sand castle! And I’ve not even included Latchi beaches yet!

Yes, life is a beach on holiday in Cyprus – and I’m even tempted to take my Mum down into Coral Bay right now and make her help me build a ‘plodging hole’ in the sand. Has been a very long time since we did this together!
