Life on the hillside.

It’s another stunning day here in Peyia, Cyprus. The sun is in the heavens but is being blanketed today by the smallest sprinkling of clouds, affording us a little respite from the searing heat.

The furry gang, Barney T Rubble and Molly Mou, are in their favourite places, enjoying light breezes while they snooze. Gus, our neighbours cat, is lying on the wall between our house and next door but is keeping a keen eye on Barney, who is closeby. What Gus doesn’t seem to know, is that there is a huge, healthy pigeon sitting just up the wall from him, singing his little head off. I suspect Gus just cannot be bothered to move to chase him!

The lizards are playing out in abundance and butterflies are gracefully moving around the garden, choosing from a wide array of smiling flowers.

In a world full of fear and problems, after the scariest of weeks worldwide, I’m deeply grateful for this mornings offering of peace and counting my blessings yet again, content in the moment.
