Just walking my dogs….

What a beautiful day it has been! The sun is still so very warm, the air is lovely and clear and the views from our hillside, are amazing!

I’ve been out with the dogs today, walking the hillside and just had to stop and photograph the views. Despite having lived here 13 years, this island still takes my breath away. (photo below)

Many people believe we must miss the seasons in the UK but they don’t understand how the light here changes each month; how the hillsides and meadows take on different hues, as the plants change and new life is born………its so very beautiful.

Of course, all Barney T Rubble wanted to do , was to chase the Big Bad Black Cat, who lives between the house of our neighbour and our own . Thankfully, this feral cat is streetwise and simply pretended to be asleep, so Barney lost interest. I hadn’t realised I’d stopped to photograph just next to the cat until Barney started investigating the bushes but thankfully, no fur flew!

Home now, the sunset is about to begin so the furry gang and I will sit on The Thinking Step and take in the close of the day, with its spectacular colours and magnificent ‘performance’. Sheer heaven on earth!
