Its all happening!
Think I”d better do a quadruple blog each day now: there is SO much going on……here’s just a taste bite:
Susie and The Great Raymondo are now happily esconsed in their fab new villa in Peyia. Its really gorgeous and, as of today, has their own furniture in it! AND I got an invite there last night (only take Susie 16 months to invite me to her house) and I LOVE IT!! Please call in for a GnT when you are in Peyia, the address is………….(only joking !! )
We’ve had tons of arrivals AND the rain has stopped! Hoorah! Charlottes Dad was 50 on Monday , (they are here on holiday in the lovely villa Melanie) and are partying tomorrow to have a joint birthday celebration.
Val and Bob, of Bradford and Limassol fame, who we’ve known for over 20 years, are here at the Neptune for a weeks hol and have baked Tony his favourite cake – fruit cake. So he is happy and continuously drinking tea……
I met Helen today, with her husband Simon: they own Aphrodite villa, which is a lovely 2 bed villa with private pool in Coral Bay. She is great and its good to know what the people you are emailing to, look like, isn’t it?
I’ve been sworn at, in the past 2 days, in English, Greek, Cypriot, Bulgarian and by email – great job, isn’t it?! Why? Well, I dared to complain about builders blocking access to a villa; then dared to ask the owners for help via their solicitor then doubly dared to try to get other builders to move their cars from the private drive of a gorgeous villa in Peyia – AND asked them to repair a wall they’d knocked down! Honestly, I’m SO selfish! Actually, it was interesting to hear some of the swear words: I’m storing them up for future, tee hee.
Have walked the dogs tonight and got safely past 3 cats, who were sat with Charlie cat on our wall. Jake didn’t seem them (thank god) and Alfie couldn’t care less. Molly is too close to the ground to have looked up that far – I think I had a lucky escape, not least as Jake was tied on my just mended broken arm!
Oh and before I go, I have to say that Sharon and Rachel ARE my favourite villa owners from Scotland and Ireland, who own the beautiful villa Caliteri, in Peyia. Seriously ladies, I think you are both fantastic and its a pleasure to work hard for you- even taking being sworn at, on the chin! (or one of them!)
PLUS Peyia FC are in the FINAL!!! Yes, The FINAL!! THere was partying in the streets of the village last night when we won on aggregate against THE biggest team on the island! Many sore heads today – but very , very happy supporters!
