Home alone and fingers crossed….
With my heart in my mouth, all electrical wires out of reach; shoes put away; ‘dangling things’ tucked in and toys in abundance, I left Barney T Rubble in the ‘care and love’ of Molly Mou and Charlie Cat for an hour or so this morning
I had to go to see our lovely returning guests, at Villa Sulis in Coral Bay then call to Villa Kastelloriso in Peyia – and there was no-one to ‘doggy day care’ for the unexpected hour.
Arriving home, I carefully opened the door and expected to walk into a new ‘carpet’ of feathers from the cushions and parts from various toys and ornaments. Instead, I was greeted with waggling tails (no, not the cat – I’m not THAT crazy) and happy doggy smiles…….Molly was in one piece and ‘in charge’ of the whole family. Charlie was looking with great disdain, at the monster pup but then deigned to jump off the kitchen unit and come and ‘kiss’ his face………………so all was well in paradise for this scary time……..
Except, they ‘ate’ the box of Christmas cards I’d left on the table but that was no big deal. I think we should all forget cards this year and make a donation to charity instead. Am thinking Paws Dog Sanctuary in Paphos and Pancreatic Cancer Research for me: who would you choose?…
Dogs now fighting so I’d better go and separate them….
