Half way there….

Its the semi final of The Cup today and Apop Kinyras Peyias , our local village team, are playing Omonia- which is a little like eg Hartlepool FC playing Manchester United – and you’ve guessed it: we’re no Man U!

Everyone who is everyone is there: well, Tony and The Great Raymondo are . George isn’t because, on cup semi final days, you have to pay extra for the entrance ticket coz its not included in your Season Ticket- which annoys George and I can see why – but this is Cyprus!

The weather is unseasonally lousy! There is a storm about to break; dark clouds on the horizon and the seas look very very angry. I’m happily tucked up at home with the gang of 4 and am about to enjoy home made curry and a movie. ~Problem is, I can here the racket from the stadium from here! And I’m frustrated that I’m not there!

After all, it is the semi final and the team are playing well………think I’ll get a sweater on and head down there, adding my voice to the crowd.

Can anyone lend me 20 euros?!
