extra special days
Andy and Julie married in Peyia, on Friday at noon in the Peyia Gardens. This wonderful couple, who we met through Sue and Ray, looked the picture of happiness and smiled their special day through.
Julie looked so very beautiful. It was one of those weddings where you can actually see the love between the couple and they really did only have eyes for each other – and having lived together over 20 years, this was especially precious to witness.
With the reception on the Akamas hillside, in the Last Castle, enjoying the breezes and great food and company, this day will go down in my memory as one of the best of the year. Perfect day !
Getting married in Peyia Gardens is a great choice: the scenery is old, stone, with pretty gardens and if the rocks could talk, would tell stories of the old villagers coming for water and staying a while to talk to one another: it almost feels magical and reminds me of an old ‘fort’ set within the park at Hebburn, where my sisters and I used to play for hours………..there aren’t many places left like this in the built up world now.
Add a Registrar who looked like the winner of Cyprus Next Top Model and the ceremony is beautiful in terms of people/location and environment…………nowhere better! But I am completely biased and I suspect Andy and Julie feel the same !
