Europe still a dream.

Well all you footie fans , the second game of the season ended in a 1-1 draw with Paralimni: not a bad result as it keeps us second in the table. Again we must learn, as with the first game the opposition scored almost from the kick off, but the team certainly seem to have some bottle as they fought back before half time to equalise and there it ended. Some may say a bore draw.

We all await in anticipation for the completion of our home ground, which should be in a couple of weeks time and our tiny little ground will be packed to the rafters ( all 5000 people ). I am sure a few of the bigger teams are not looking forward to coming to Peyia because a lot of the grounds are also athletics stadiums and therefore they are kept at a distance from the fans.

There is also a buzz around the Cypriot football community at present as Anothrosis ( Farmagusta ) has been drawn against Spurs in the EUFA cup, so you may be able to see what standard of football we are up too. People are scrambling for tickets: they will not travel 5 miles to Paphos to see their local team but they will travel 85 miles to see Spurs !! fickle fans !!. One spurs fan here ( LEE ,a genuine fan ) must be in panic mode, an ex season ticket holder for almost 20 years :imagine what his life will be like if spurs get beaten!
