Dexter’s Day: Wot sign?

I’ve been swimming in the big scary sea!

It was SO cold and SO lovely and So splashy!

Me and Mummy and Daddy and I and they,

Walked along the beach forever and ever –

Well, a Very Long Way,

Then I let them off the lead

Coz they were being good,

And I ran into the water and PLAYED!

A. LOT!

And the sea was ALL MINE!

(Coz Emma , my girlfriend, in the photo with me

was still at work with parents today).

When we were walking back to the car,

Mummy saw a sign and read it to me.

It said , dogs were forbidden!

So that’s okay!

Coz I’m a Labrador

And haven’t ever met a Forbidden

But they cannot have much fun

If they cannot swim!

(I hope they can read too:

I cannot read coz I’m only a very wet silly growing dog –

So I wouldn’t have understood the sign anyway!)
