Dexter’s Day: Poorly Boy

I am a hero

I’ve been VERY POORLY!

I was having a lovely day yesterday,

Playing with Brucie cat

And sitting on the big cushions around the pool.

I was thunking to myself how lucky I am

So I decided to stick my head inside a bush

To talk to a bumble bee

and ”ping” – it jumped at my eye

And STUNG ME!

ARGH!

It hurt SO VERY MUCH

And my face got very fat, very quickly

and I felt sick and dizzy

But Daddy and Mummy got me straight to see Nikolas

and he helped me because he is very kind.

He asked me if I’d been sick

and I was thunking ”no” –

Then I WAS sick! Everywhere!

It gave me a fright

Coz  I’ve never been sick before!

But then I felt sleepy

so I came home

And Mummy snuggled me down in my bed

And I ”slept it off”.

Today I’m a little wobbly

But I’m VERY HAPPY again

And I forgive the Bee

But I don’t want to see it again.

Ever.
