Dexter’s Day: Our Day Off!

We are having a Day Off!
I’m very excited!
(What’s a Day Off?).

Anyway, Mummy and Daddy are happy
And I’m sitting on the pillow in their bed
Coz I pushed Mummy out of bed
So she is making a pot of tea –
and singing, ”how is this a day off?”

I’d explain to her but I don’t know.
I’m a Pupppppeeeeee
What do I know?

Mummy says we are going to clean
And wash and iron and shop –
So what sort of Day Off is that?!

But she is happy so I am happy.
And I’m still sat on her pillow.
Daddy is watching the machine with words in.
So I keep biting his chin so he plays a bit.

Might get up in a moment –
But I’ve had my biscuits at silly o”clock with Mummy
So there is no need really.

It’s very cosy here on the pillow –
And Daddy is falling back to sleep,
So , I’ll stay here and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
