Dexter’s Day: Only a walk?

I took my parents on a long walk today.

We went to see the peacocks and the sniffing fields (my favourite)

and the very long road where Marmalade the cat lives.

I wasn’t allowed off the lead  today

Coz of the ”trouble” I caused to the Peahen and the Peacock,

Who Mummy said were , ”on a date” in the meadow,

Having a lovely time –

Until I bundled up!

(They did fly away quickly!).

We walked and talked and walked some more –

Then we turned left.

Not right.

And right goes to Yialos –

and I ALWAYS go to Yialos, (well I have done the past few days),

For beer and a treat off the chef who love me!

But Daddy went left.

And Mummy laughed –

So I cried.

And cried.

And stood still –

but we carried on going left.

I thunk Daddy doesn’t love me anymore.

Or he didn’t have his pocket money with him

Mummy had hers though.

She explained to me , it’s their New Years Resolution

To not go to Yialos every day.

I thunk I don’t like New Years Resolutions.

Whatever they are –

and it seems I cannot even EAT them either!

I thunk my resolution

Is to go out, without my parents!
