Dexter’s Day: Just the Tree of us!

I’ve had a lovely snuggle in bed this morning

With Mummy and Daddy

And Tree!

I met Tree yesterday, in the garden.

He was very sad because he’d lost his family.

It had been windy and he’d been blown away.

So I picked him up and brought him home.

To surprise my parents,

I took a flying leap onto their bed-

And gave the Tree to play with!

He lay on the pillow with me and with them

Except Mummy fell out onto the floor –

and she hadn’t had wine!

Daddy talked loudly to me and Tree!

I think he liked Tree coz he played with him-

he kept throwing him around the room

So I could go and get him

and bring him back, jumping VERY HIGH in the air

To land safely on the bed

So Tree didn’t get hurt!

We had such fun!

Mummy and Daddy have closed their bedroom door

And left me and Tree on the stairs –

But I’m not sad.

coz the stairs are made of wood!

And it’s Tree’s second cousin!

So we are talking to him and lifting him up,

So he can come and play with us!

Daddy will be SOOOO happy!
