Dexter’s Day: Fairies!

I was listening to Mummy and Daddy persons talking this morning-

Mummy was telling Daddy that there aren’t any fairies in our house,

So there is no magic way to put ironing away or get the dishes done

Or empty rubbish bins!

(I thunk Daddy was in Big Trouble!).

Anyway, Mummy is wrong! There ARE fairies!

They come and play with me while my parents are at work –

and they sleep on the bed/eat the tea towels/dig up the plants and chew stuff –

including favourite cushions!

Mummy thunks it’s me who does this – but it’s not! it’s the fairies!

Or that’s mine and Daddy’s story and we’re sticking to it!
