Listening out for Mollys tiny breaths during the night, I was taken back to being a small girl and feeling poorly but finding comfort lying in the stillness of early morning, hearing comforting sounds of normality.
Even today, my day starts better if I can lie still for 10 mins while my world wakes up: the dogs barking welcome, the kettle being put on, Tonys “man” noises as he stumbles awake – and Charlie cat “singing” on the back wall for his breakfast.
Molly was watching the world for hours last night and is again today. I’m praying she’s listening to familiar sounds and wanting to out amongst it, which will make her stronger, quicker……
Here’s to a good day!
