Coffee?
One of the most difficult decisions to make here in the Peyia region, is where to go to /meet for a coffee! There are TONS of lovely places. So far this week, we’ve met Susie Floozy and The Great Raymondodoulou in Yialos for a coffee which turned into a natter and wine couple of hours. Our weekly shop in the wonderful Alfa Mega store in Paphos , near the physios office, ended up with coffee and croissants for Tony and coffee and practicing Greek, for me!
Jane and I shared a lovely coffee yesterday, at home with our furry gang, where we marveled at the views which I see every day but which I just cannot get over………….then coffee at Harris Bar in Peyia, which has been refurbished to a great extent and looks amazing!
Add a sneaky posh coffee at the Café Grao, next to Peyia Chippy while we waited for our fish and chips then another lovely , sunny break enjoyed at Baracas café in Chloraka, as Tony and I ”broke” our walk to sit in the warmth – and I’m about coffee’d out
Of course, coffee here wouldn’t be coffee without the many stories thrown in by the owners of the establishments in which it is served! From sharing a natter about family at home with Jane to hearing the love story of Baracas, from Venice and his chosen Cypriot love, my heart is bursting with warmth as much as my tummy is bursting with coffee! Think I need to drink wine tonight!
