I’ve been awake since silly o’clock this morning thinking about all of the work I still to do, towards the RYA Day Skipper Exams I’m taking. With the deadline looming , having to start physio/gym on Monday for 2 sessions per week over 4 weeks and the holiday season and arrivals upon us, I’m feeling a little overwhelmed….
The section I’ve just completed for the exams, is about weather. The course is excellent, so very enjoyable and interesting – but taxing. I’m not a natural when it comes to longitude and latitude/bearings and dead reckoning positions – though the latter phrase makes me laugh as is sounds like a ”Geordie debate group!”. Still , like all things challenging , the only way through IS through – and I’m up early to try to get on with it.
…but first, a little creative procrastination eg play with Barney T Rubble; make yet another cuppa; put the washing out’; sit on The Thinking Step – but there you go! Even sitting in my favourite spot , enjoying the early morning bird song and sunshine, I’m drawn to the few clouds floating through the blue skies and find myself thinking, “”Is that a Nimbus? Will that cloud be the start of a light land fog? Is there a soft land breeze today – and why does that cloud look like a frog?”………
Think I need a holiday!
