boat , butterflies and mandarins…….
Bob, Caroline, Tony and I went to Latchi yesterday to take the boat out – NOT! Having woken to heavy winds, Tony , the eternal optimist was sure the weather in Latchi would be better than in Peyia (?), so off we set, towels in hand and positive affirmations about the chance to get on the sea………..
Only the storm was worse at Latchi, so we had to haul ourselves into a great cafe, on the harbour front and simply put the world to rights and enjoy a very lovely and rare period of time, catching up, nattering, exploring the world of nonsense and just sharing the moments. It was great!
Course, we had to go and LOOK at the boat, which meant Tony had to board her to ‘check on things’ so technically, at least he was on the water!
Coming home , we continued the chat, marvelled at the butterflies which are everywhere in our garden in Peyia at the moment – and Caz was brave enough to test our first batch of Mandarins from our fruit garden (two trees: one lemon, one mandarin).
In all, a perfect morning with wonderful people – and no-one was seasick, so all well in paradise!
