Benjamin John……
Tomorrow is the 25th birthday of possibly the most wonderful god son in the world: Ben. He is gorgeous inside and out and I adore him. We’ve been emailing today, catching up on stuff and nonsense – and I’m ashamed to say I became “old” and started to reminisce with him about things he did when he was little…………..daft or what but what are memories for?
Anyway, when I was little, I used to keep a big jar, which I called my “benjamin john” jar and I saved my pennies in it. I had told my grandparents that I would have a son one day and he would be called Benjamin John…….didn’t happen but my beautiful sister Maxine cooked a very handsome Ben for all of us -and he’s FAB!
Must be strange being one of the adored nephews of a family of completely batty females. We blame my mum – for everything really which isn’t fair but for making us all potty. Bens Mum is one of the most beautiful women ever , which is how Ben is so gorgeous I’m sure – but she is nothing like the rest of us: she is dark haired and dark eyed and we’re all…..well, that would be telling. lets just say “chemically enhanced ” about covers it!!
Tony and I lost a baby who would have been 12 tomorrow. I daydream about how lovely our daughter (coz I believe she was a girl) would have been and always thought she’d be close to Ben, Dan and Jessica, and Jack and Ginny (Steph, my baby sisters children). Then again, no-one except Ben would have been good enough for her – and I think that sort of partnership would be illegal!!
Today is still a very happy day: all things being equal, Ben and I will get together later in the year to celebrate this big day and one I’ll have celebrated by end of Sept! Also will meet Sarah, Bens lady, and ask her the 3million questionnaire I’m preparing for her: come on! He’s my GODSON! Gotta be sure he is being looked after!!
Happy Birthday for tomorrow Ben – with tons and tons of love from a very sunny Cyprus xxxxxxxx
