Being stitched up!
Oh, am feeling so very sorry for myself today. Yesterday, I had to go to the dentists to have a tooth extracted. It was, by all accounts, a ‘naughty tooth’, which didn’t want to come out but once it did, revealed a cyst developing underneath – so that had to be treated to. So, I’m (one) toothless, in agony, stitched up and eating baby food and worse, the tooth fairy didn’t visit!
The dentists were wonderful: Aspro Dentistry in Chloraka if anyone needs them. The surgery is funky, colourful yet calming. The receptions, Veronica and Sophia, the assistant dentist are just gorgeous too: I was so enjoying my early morning coffee with them, as we chatted about psychology and dealing with people, that I forgot I was the patient and almost fainted when the ‘ogre’ that was Andreas arrived ! (He’s lovely really).
Dentists are all bad, of course: Jenny and Nick, the owners of Villa Stavroulla in Peyia, are dentists and are completely wonderful people. I’d like to put my teeth in their hands, so to speak (and will be able to soon, if I keep having them extracted LOL!). I know this is a necessary profession and I’m glad great people choose it but why does it hurt so much, boo hoo?
Speaking of being stitched up, our beautiful Emma, Customer Services Manager and all round lovely mummy of 2, has a penchant for curly hair/pink/crisps /pop and talking . Today, Sam (the erstwhile Eating Monster) and Mark, our new (and very brave accountant), decided to stitch Emma up and made a photo of her , while she enjoyed a day off. its below for your pleasure!
