art auction?

I promised Susie Floozie that I wouldn’t tell anyone about this – and I’m not: I just happen to be writing it down but I’ve not spoken a word to a soul……

Last night, The Great Raymondodoulou, Susie Floozie, Tony and I were invited to the first anniversary of Goosefat and Garlic, a wonderful restaurant just outside of Coral Bay. As part of the anniversary celebrations, Joep, an excellent local artist, had brought along some of his artwork to display: the evening was to contain an auction of the works.

SF and I were looking around at some of the beautiful canvasses when a set of three, matching flower paintings in the restaurant , caught Susies eye. “How much are they”, she asked James, the owner of Goosefat and Garlic.

James laughed and said, “They are mine. Joeps style is very unique, isn’t it? You’ve just mixed these up with some hugely expensive canvasses – and they are from the market!”

Somehow don’t think the artist laughed…..
