a superstar moment
We’ve taken on tons of new properties the past few days, all of them for long term rental. I’ve loved all of them and have wanted to move into each and every one of them as I’ve seen them.
For example, in Peyia centre, Crazy Chris our friend and ex taverna-comfort-food-gossip-hole owner, has built 8 lovely 2 bed townhouses. They are finished to really high specifications and are priced very low. I loved the thought of living in the centre of the village, being able to walk to the bakery/wet fish shop and Mediterranean cafe – and the Jail pub, of course!….Yes, they are definitely very attractive and a few were snapped up today!
We also took on two large, private, posh villas in their own grounds, behind security gates and in a very nice part of Peyia. These are each magnificent, with tons of space for a large family and would make great family homes. I loved the thought of living there and letting the dogs run around the grounds.
Probably my favourite though, is Anthos Apartment: built above Helens Flower Shop in Peyia, I was a little reluctant to go and view because Helen is my friend and if I didn’t like the apartment and wouldn’t know what to say – but it was stunning!
Immediately I walked onto the covered, spotlight entrance area, with marble balustrades and curves balcony ,I KNEW I had to live there! I was Sophia Loren and going to live in style, wearing gorgeous clothes – and carrying very posh “cardboard” uncreasable carrier bags up the steps to my penthouse. I’d open the very large doors and step into my larger, marble floored entrance hall and casually throw my scarf to the ground and beckon to , er , Mr Sophia Loren (or George Clooney, preferably) and ask for a freshly perculated coffee.
Ohmigod this apartment is GORGEOUS! Unfurnished, 3 bedrooms, study, 2 kitchens, outdoor BBQ area and sexy, curved rooms/windows – its perfect!
Tony keeps reminding me that I have a “long term” let in “his” house on the hill in Peyia but may be on borrowed time if I keep wanting to live elsewhere.
I just enjoy the daydreaming and LOVE finding decent properties for good people to rent. Am going to have built into the clauses that I have to be able to visit anyone who rents, for “tea and cakes”…………
Diary note: must practise the SL wiggle: have the hips, can pad the bust and will pout.
Waving to traffic elegantly from the balcony may be difficult: I’ll probably fall off and hurt myself but at least can gather flowers from Helens flower shop below!
I LOVE my job!!
