A spirited island
So, with the economy here continuing to be difficult and the challenges of working and growing this islands meagre income , proving to be more and more mountainous as the weeks go on, you could be forgiven for feeling a little concerned about Cyprus and the future of its people….
What isn’t being taken into consideration, is that the people who love Cyprus and choose to live and work here, are committed to this island paradise and remain focused on doing everything possible to grow the economy/maximise opportunities and provide much needed visitors with a warm smile and open hospitality……
We’ve been visited by the President of the EU Council this week and welcome the talks which have taken place with our President…..but its a shame more people don’t talk to the everyday people who continue to strive, smile and be very proud to be alive in the sunshine.
This island has been battered economically, without question – and we are far from being out of the woods yet BUT we are here; alive and taking the challenge moment by moment knowing that , what hasn’t killed us really WILL make us stronger – and we’d welcome the chance to share our dreams for Cyprus with anyone who cares to come to the island and see us.
There couldn’t be a better time to visit us: prices are low; sunshine hours high and opportunities to invest, rife.
One thing is certain, Cyprus will always have a smile for a stranger – and we’re working on having the last laugh too! Watch this space!
