A Mayor for all reasons

Marinos, the newly elected Mayor of the Peyia Municipality, has ensured a whole lot of work has been undertaken since he took up office a few months ago.

The village is looking even better: roads are being widened; roadsides shrubs and trees have been cut back; road junctions are clearer and safer and the area has a feeling of renewed optimism and hope.

It seems we are getting pathways, from Peyia to Coral Bay, down the main road, which will be so great for the tourists and locals alike. Even the old part of the village, where the stone houses and outbuildings are, has been polished up and looks great too!

It cannot be an easy job being Mayor but like running any business, if the team are focused, directed, rewarded and appreciated, mountains can be moved – or tough hillsides in Peyia’s case.

We are so proud to live and work in and for Peyia – and it’s great to have a Mayor who is so proud of his village too.
