A light touch of happiness and deep sense of sadness

We’re changing our procedures by decree of yesterdays birthday girl: me! What are we doing? Quite simply, I’m going to INSIST that every female who stays in one of our holiday villas MUST go to The Spa at the Crown Resort Hotel in Coral Bay and have a facial……………they are totally wonderful!

I cannot believe that I’ve got to the age I am and not had one before! They are a must – and should be provided on the national health. My being has never been so well! A huge thank you to Kerry and Dave at The Spa for my pressie – and to Olga who did the facial and a massage for me. I’ll be back……….

(Checkout our website on the health and leisure page for more info about The Spa).

Tony and I have another busy day with departures and arrivals. Thankfully, a very caring guest has just texted to say they ‘ll be delayed by 6 hours getting here: their message helps us tremendously to plan tonights arrivals and maybe fit in a dinner! (Couldn’t go yesterday coz Tony was playing footie and I was dog sitting!).

Its great welcoming guests here in September: Coral Bay is very pretty; the bushes are in bloom, the grass looks lush and the sea is a mix of wonderful shades of blue – plus the sea is even warmer than the pools. Heaven……

A final, sad note for today……..

We’ve only just heard that a wonderful Bulgarian lady called Violetta, was killed recently by a drunk driver here. Violetta worked for many years in our friends restaurant in Peyia, then at another restaurant in Coral Bay before moving to the Amusement Arcade in Coral Bay where she looked after the children of holiday makers.

She was one of lifes special people: always smiling, happy and helpful……it seems so sad that someone as young as her has lost their life so tragically. So many people who knew her, some only briefly, are very sad about losing her: and we hope her family take some comfort from the fact that she touched so many peoples lives.

I pray wherever the next part of her “journey” is, she is happy and at peace.
