A cook in the books!
Tony has attended the Tweedies cookery school today and he loved every second of it! Tweedies is one of the best restaurants in Cyprus, on our doorstep in Chloraka, just past Coral Bay. Serving only fresh vegetables and all homemade soup, puddings and the freshest fish and meat, their menu is small and delicious!
Today, Tony has spent 5 hours with three other lucky people, learning how to:
– make 4 types of bread
– make ravioli
– stuff chicken legs and stuff squid
– make profiteroles and toffee birds nests………….
Then the meal was served up to a waiting throng.
Why didnt I go to cookery school? Well, someone had to “man the phones” and deal with incoming etc – then, very sadly, that “someone” had to go to the school and be the guinea pig who tasted aforesaid menu, washed down by lovely local wine.
It was a tough job – but I did it for Tony! And my goodness, his cooking certainly did it for me! It was totally gorgeous – and puts to shame the beans/cold ham and cold potatoes plus pickles, I’m serving up for tea tonight!
Tonys ravioli was gorgeous – and I’ve fallen for his profiteroles too!
He looked quite cute in his cookery school pinny too! One of the perks of my role as “chief taster” will be to keep looking at this!!
Wonder if there is any mileage in renting him out as a chef to our villa holidaymakers?……
