Coral Bay

Coral Bay beach Cyprus

Coral Bay is the touristy part of our chosen region of Paphos. It is a growing, attractive holiday resort with a huge choice of tavernas, bars, shops and beaches. With Coral Bay villas of all sizes and in a good, value for money price range, Coral Bay is definitely the spot for a sociable family or group of friends to enjoy meeting the locals; catching up with other holiday makers – or simply taking in the sun.

Coral Bay has a small amusement arcade; pitch and put; go-karting and horseriding close by. A regular, reliable bus service runs every 15 minutes to and from Coral Bay to Paphos harbour and market, taking holidaymakers easily to places they want to see – and getting them safely back to their villas to take in the sun. The buses are clean and any journey on them from Coral Bay or Paphos to the Coral Bay region, is charged at minimal rate – currently only €1

Evenings in Coral Bay see holidaymakers "strutting" up the main street of the resort from the beaches, enjoying the lights and ambience of this popular holiday village.

We can offer a wide range of villas in Coral Bay, either right in the heart of the resort or minutes walk away with a little more privacy. The area is vibrant and colourful with villas surrounded by lovely foliage and flowers and the magnificent coastline always moment away and often visible no matter where you stroll in Coral Bay!

The Coral Bay area is surrounded by tempting walks along rugged clifftops leading to the Sea Caves area – or short bus rides to nearby Tomb of the Kings or monasteries.

Worth visiting are attractions such as:

Petra Tou Romiou, or The Rock of Aphrodite, which is set just east of the airport at Paphos and takes approx 30 mins by car from Coral Bay. The story goes that if a holiday maker swims naked three times around the Rock at midnight, the swimmer will gain eternal youth! (and probably a place in the Guinness Book of Records for being the fastest swimmer in history) The Rock would need a speedboat to navigate its circumference in the light, let alone the dark!

Turtle Beach, Lara Bay, Coral Bay

West from Coral Bay resort and just a few miles by road, is Lara Bay where the loggerhead and greenback turtles crawl up the sands to lay their eggs. A protected species, Turtle Beach is open to the holidaymakers but offers protection to its precious residents too. Caretakers for the turtles are vigilant but helpful and share the joys of swimming with these lovely creatures when the tide (and turtles), allow.

Tomb of the Kings, just minutes from Coral Bay on the road to Paphos.

Here you'll find some of the famous mosaics of Cyprus which have been restored, with their locations opened for the tourists to enjoy. Highly preserved, there are 3 houses which belonged to 3rd century noblemen and are now open to holidaymakers. All set around the Kato Paphos area, the mosaics depict many famous moments in history, such as the Birth of Achilles or Theseus slaying the Minotaur.

(Large, comfortable , airconditioned buses run every 15 minutes from Coral Bay to Paphos harbour and town).
