a pregnant pause

While shopping in Philippos Supermarket in Peyia, this afternoon, I was thrilled to bump into a friend who I haven't seen for months and who is heavily pregnant with her first baby.

She looked so beautiful and serene but said she felt terrible and admitted to wearing half of her pjs!

We chatted for a while then she started to laugh and told me that today was the best day she'd had for weeks, due to having had "maternity reflexology" the night before which had helped her have a good long sleep for the first time in weeks -and also made her "go to the toilet" for the first time for days!

I didn't know what to say - which is very unusual but as I don't see her "regularly", I suppose its good to get things out in the open!!
